5 Common Problems (& Their Fixes) on Instagram

The year is already 2018.

And since Instagram first came out, the social network has catapulted its way to the top. So much so that it prides itself with billions of active users.

But while billions of people visit the social network daily, these people can also encounter errors.

Here are the common ones, as well as their fixes.

1 – Login Error

The login error on Instagram is not rare. Many users can encounter it because of these reasons:

  • Incorrect username
  • Incorrect Password

Especially if you have multiple Instagram accounts, you can confuse their login details.

Fortunately, an easy fix is to re-type the username and/or password more carefully the next time around. If it doesn’t work, you can simply reset your details.

A similar case is when you can’t register a new account. If you’re using a VPN, you might be blocked.

2 – Posting Issue

And then there’s the fact that you can’t seem to post any content on Instagram.

When this happens, the problem is usually on your end. So, check — or restart — your internet connection. And then make sure you have a strong and secure connection.

3 – Facebook Permission Issue

If you can’t connect your Instagram account to your Facebook account, it’s a problem.

This usually happens when you delete — accidental or otherwise — your Facebook account without uninstalling your Instagram account.

Here’s what you need to do:

First, delete the Instagram and Facebook apps from your phone. Then, navigate to Facebook Settings to remove Instagram permissions. And finally, re-install both apps and connect again.

4 – Tagging Issue

An issue with Instagram’s tagging feature is also a common problem. This can happen if a tagged person voluntarily untags himself from your post.

It’s either that or your post contains a hashtag that has been blocked by that person or Instagram itself.

If the tagging issue is due to a blocked hashtag, your Instagram account may be disabled.

The fix for this is to request for your Instagram account to be re-enabled. On your phone’s Instagram app, you can find instructions for this.

5 – Comment Problem

And if you can’t seem to comment, don’t think that you’re the only one with this problem.

You’re free to comment, alright. But you have to follow some rules, too.

Some of them are:

  • 30 hashtags or less
  • No mention of more than 5 users
  • No multiple comments with similar messages

Conclusion

Encountering an error — or multiples errors — on Instagram can be demotivating. Especially if you want certain processes to go seamlessly, such a roadblock can discourage you.

But there’s a thing called perseverance. If you look and ask for help from the social network’s community, it’s possible to get a solution.
